Out of warranty repair service

As your product gets older, they're more likely to give you the occasional problem. And, when they do, you naturally want to minimise downtime.

PSUK offers some extremely cost-effective ways to do this. And if this is not suitable for you, there's our out of warranty repair service. Projector Service UK are amongst a few select maintenance providers that can point to thousands of serviced & literally hundreds of repaired projectors, you might expect that our team of technicians are experienced in all main brands of data projectors and interactive whiteboards. And you'd be right. They'll get you up and running with the very minimum of delay – we’ll have an engineer with you within the next working day. It's because we can identify problems so quickly, and solve them so efficiently, that we can keep our charges so competitive.

The charges will depend on the product needing repair. For details of charges and the nature and extent of service read the sections below.

Nature and extent of service

PSUK will wherever possible, arrange for an engineer to visit your organisation within 8 working hours. The repair will ensure that your product, in PSUK’s judgement, provides satisfactory performance consistent with its age and usage. If PSUK cannot economically repair your product, you will be advised of charges.

PSUK will provide a quote for the repair of your product which will include all the parts and labour charges. This service will be available for both out of warranty repairs. For onsite cover, an engineer should be at the specified address within 8 working hours following your call to our customer services.

No guarantee is given by PSUK that replaceable parts will last any particular time before they require replacement.

PSUK will only repair faults in your products. PSUK does not accept responsibility for ensuring any particular performance when they are used in combination with other equipment or software. It is your responsibility to organise the re profiling of the RIP and software to the desired state as this is not covered as part of this service.

 

All Services Have a Limit to it’s service agreement

This Service Contract does not cover the setting up of your products on site, product support (other than repair), routine maintenance, cleaning and replacement of consumables as described in the Product User Manual. PSUK will only repair faults in your products. PSUK does not accept responsibility for ensuring any particular performance when they are used in combination with other equipment or software.


PSUK will provide all parts used in the repair of the equipment and all such parts replaced, which PSUK considers to be irreparable, will be retained by the PSUK and shall become the property of the PSUK.


If in reasonable opinion of PSUK engineers, the equipment in whole or part becomes uneconomical to repair or is reaching the end of its ordinary life, PSUK will advise the customers of potential charges. None of the Maintenance Services guarantees uninterrupted operation of the equipment.


What liability does Projector Service UK Ltd accept?


If the product or any other item owned by you is damaged as a direct result of PSUK providing the service in a negligent way, PSUK accepts liability for the damage caused to those items. If the product itself is damaged, PSUK will repair or replace the product; if other property is damaged as a direct result PSUK will pay up to a maximum of £500,000.


If as a result of negligence by PSUK (or by its employees or contractors), PSUK causes any personal injury or death, PSUK accepts liability for this. PSUK does not accept liability beyond this. In particular it does not accept any liability for any consequential loss or damage, loss of use of the product or other items or loss of sales, profits or opportunity you may suffer. If you think a failure by PSUK to provide the service may cause you losses of this kind and it is important to you to protect against them, you should either take out appropriate insurance or contact PSUK to discuss individually negotiated terms at a premium price.


The terms of the agreement between you and PSUK are fully set out in this document and the faxed agreement. There are no other terms, conditions or warranties which apply to the agreement or which are implied into it (except any terms implied by statute which cannot be excluded). The service to be provided is as described in this document and you should not rely on any representation made to you which suggests otherwise.

Use Of Equipment

Renter receives the rented equipment and accessories described on page one hereof in good condition and undertakes to use said equipment carefully and in accordance with the equipment user guide. It is expressly prohibited to: a) sub rent the said equipment either directly or indirectly. b) The operation of said equipment by any person hereby authorised.



Return Of Equipment

Said equipment will be returned on the date and to the place specified on page one hereof.  Any alteration to the agreed date and place of rented equipment must be previously agreed in writing by Projector Service UK Ltd. This condition entitles Projector Service UK Ltd to demand in court the restitution of any rented equipment.



Rental Charges

Renter agrees to pay in addition to the rental charges and taxes stipulated in the Projector Service UK Ltd valid tariff any expenses or loss of revenue incurred by Projector Service UK Ltd as a result of missing equipment components or failure to comply with this agreement valued to a maximum of £1000.00.



Insurance

Projector Service UK Ltd have insured rented equipment against accidental damage by the authorised renter. Loss or damage of equipment due to theft or neglect will not be covered and renter will be asked to reimburse Projector Service UK the amount herein listed on page one. Projector Service UK Ltd will in no-way accept any claim for liability or loss of revenue due to failure or loss of rented equipment.



Repairs

Renter shall under no circumstances attempt to repair any equipment either personally or through a third party unless permission has been previously granted in writing by Projector Service UK Ltd.



Renter Liabillity

All precautions have been taken to prevent electrical or mechanical failure of equipment but if failure should occur, Projector Service UK Ltd will as soon as notified arrange to replace or repair equipment at its own discretion. Rental fee will pause and continue upon replacement or repair of equipment. The renter admits full knowledge of the terms on this contract.
